（ガス、分子、地球の大気が太陽から放出された分子とぶつかった時に、オー
ロラが形成されます。）
collide withとは「～と衝突する」の意味です。名詞はcollision

As these are carried towards earth, most of them are deflected by

（これらが地球に向かって運ばれてくると、ほとんどが地球の磁界により、回
避されます。）
are deflected byとは「～からそらさせる」の意味です。
発言や、直接的な接触を「かわす」といった意味合いで使うことも多くありま
す。

今日のクリップは、ちょっと学校の理科のようでもありました。
CGが分かりやすく出来ているので、理解は大丈夫かもしれません。聞きなれな
い単語も多くありました。
日本では、「オーロラ」という表現が最も使われますが、Northern Lightsなど
とも言うんですね。
